Letters from Peru
Feb. 24th, 2009 | 08:36 pm
I´ll be home in about a week and a half. Next saturday to be exact.
I´ll be coming home both three months later and 6 month earlier than planned. I´ll explain how that happened later.
Actually, now that I´ve sat down to describe the experience I´ve had here, I´m finding that I can´t even begin. I might need a few months to prossess and decompress.
I´ve deffinately changed.
I´m standing someone up for the first time in my life.

WORCESTER OR BUST
Mar. 16th, 2008 | 02:00 am
A while back Mr.Flagg told me that four screen caps of my final animation project "Professor Werewolf" had been submitted to the Youth Art Month gallery at the Worcester Art Museum.
How cool right? My hard work on the project (I was working every chance I got) and it paid off!
How cool is it that I got into a real live museum.... even though there are total kindergarteners in the same show.
What ever. I’m happy.
Some how that day turned really ugly, and I never got around to telling my parents about it. I actually forgot about it completely until I found the slip in one of my books.) I missed some sort of party, and apparently robbed my mom of her motherhood. Her words.
SO! If you feel like looking at some art, why not go to the Worcester Museum and also check out arts by all kinds of kids, like Andrew and me. It would be cool.

Best.

"Cases of the disorder have ... occurred in modern times. Not too long ago, Baumeister came across a case in Germany involving a girl, now 14, whose face and back were covered with light-colored hair. The girl has been forced to undergo time-consuming, full-body shaves once every two weeks to avoid a life of ridicule. "You only notice that something isn't quite right," says Baumeister, "when you're within about six feet."
In school, the girl has even managed to occasionally capitalize on her rare genetic disorder. In some parts of Germany, children dress up as the Three Kings to go Christmas caroling. Instead of wearing a false beard, as other children do, she simply let the hair on her face grow, and was rewarded for her true-to-life costume with the best selection of presents."
-Günther Stockinger, Spiegel Online
